Rum Movie Songs Review

Certain albums patently become familiar with just a brand called ‘Music Director’ and similarly now we get it all more illustrious with ‘Rum’, which has been ‘Anirudh’. The film features Hrishikesh, Sanchitha Shetty, Mia George, Narain and Amzath Khan in lead roles. Here is our exclusive music review.

Hola Amigo
Vocals: Anirudh Ravichander, Balan Kashmir
Lyricist: Madhan Karky, Balan Kashmir

The song needs no introduction neither an analysis as it sprouted up huge sensation right on its single track release. As Anirudh cited the song’s first two words mean ‘Hello Friend’ in ‘Latin’, where his stay at Spain inspired him to come up with these words. The lyrical composition of Madan Karky and Anirudh’s apt rendition stand out to be the major highlight in this movie. The rap lines that occur by end of the tracks are the cherry pick portions and all credit goes to Balan Kashmir.

Hola Senorita
Vocals: Anirudh Ravinchander
Lyricist: Madhan Karky

The song is almost like a reprised version of Hola Amigo, but has a different treatment. It’s a fast paced number that might turn to be a very well perceived one on party floors. There are some additional touches to the song that includes the violin impact and when the song is heard on a high-profiled surround system, it eventually adds up best experience to the listeners.

Alladhe Siragaiye
Vocal: Sid Sriram
Lyricist: Vivek

Much before you listen to this song, there is something you can evidently decide upon the genre of this song with the brands like Sid Sriram and Anirudh. Yes, it’s an emotional melody with some fast beats that offer a mellisonant feel. It’s Sid Sriram’s voice and well balanced beats on accompaniments that take you into the soul of this song.

Pori Paththi Vizhum
Vocals: Diwakar, Divine
Lyrics: Vivek, Divine

It’s a situational song that doesn’t impress you vividly for the first time you hear it and this could keep up the best impact only when heard along with the visuals on the screens. It sounds like a song that would be appearing during the critical juncture of this film. Although Diwakar scores brownie points, the visual based song could gain the impact with the song picturing.

Peiyophobilia
Vocals: STR, Anirudh Ravichander
Lyrics: Vivek

This is yet another song from the album that had taken a good reception with the single track release. The vocalism by STR grabs our attention intensely and the song has yet another highlight and that’s lyrical lines by Vivek. The song is about the philosophical analysis on whether there is existence of ghost and that world would be better than the current ones.

Kadavulae Vidai
Vocals: Sean Roldan, Pragathi
Lyricist: Vivek

The beautiful rendition of Sean Roldan and Pragathi are excellent and they get to the best on their intonation. Anirudh has tried something different with the transition of genre balancing well between the voice and instrumentals. Above all meaningful lines by Vivek is one of the greatest pick that you can spot up, which gets very well crooned by the singers.

Kadavulae Vidai (Reprise)
Vocals: Anirudh
Lyricist: Vivek

The song is nothing but the reprised version of the previous track, which gets furthermore intensified with the rendition of Anirudh. There is a deep feel of emotional connect with his voice and rest are as the same as you find in the other version.

Final Verdict :

On the whole, ‘Rum’ has promising tracks that take you through an experience of different moods and it looks like some of the songs would definitely get into our senses with time brew. But for now at least 4 tracks instantly grab your attention.
