36Vadathinile – a comback movie for Jyothika in the tamil cinema after 8 years and a perfect women centric movie which has lot of scope for performance. Let see the review of the movie.

‘What is the expiry date for a woman’s dream’? is the plot of the movie. How a 36 year old woman’s life changes after she get a chance to meet the President of India and What happens to her family’s future is all about 36 Vayathinile.Film is an official remake of malayalam superhit ‘How Old Are You’, which was a comeback for actress Manju Warrier.

Jyothika is back after 8 years, Still she holds the same charming face and cute expressions. Her performance is very matured. Plenty of scenes are there for emote and she did it with ease. Its an one wo(man) show. From start to end, its complete Jo show. After Mozhi, she can proudly say that she has delivered an awesome performance in this film.

Casting deserves a special thumbs up. 50% success of the film goes to the selection of artists. Best example is this film. Rahman as Jo’s husband-A middle class man, did full justice. Nasser,Jaya Prakash,Delhi Ganesh,MS Bhaskar,Divya Darshini,Abirami, kid, grandma all are excels in their respective roles. Its treat to watch these natural actors performances on screen.

Music by Santhosh Narayanan. Back ground music resembles same tunes from malayalam version. Not so impressive.3 songs in the film.Average songs. Intro song in ‘Vaadi Raasathi…’ , followed by the ‘happy..’ song and second half has only one song – ‘Pogiren’.Music is loud in few parts. Cinematography by R.Diwakaran is superb.Good work.Editing is crisp for this 2 hrs film.Locations are in and around chennai.

Director Roshan Andrews, he himself is the director of the original version. He hasn’t done much changes to Bobby Sanjay’s original screenplay, Its almost like scene by scene copy.Content is so good, deserves a winning material. Roshan extracts neat performance from all the characters. He has successfully recreates the same magic of the original version.Viji’s dialogues are good.

Few major highlight scenes of the film are : The conversation between Rahman and Jo after the license expiry scene, Jo meets grandma with vegetables, Jo and her daughter conversations at home, Jo meets president, Jo and abirami conversation and Climax.
