Filmmaker Pa Ranjith made his directorial debut through the film ‘Attakathi’ following which his ‘Madras’ was critically acclaimed. The filmmaker later shot to fame for his back to back movies with Superstar Rajinikanth titled ‘Kabali’ and ‘Kaala’. The filmmaker later started to produce some movies through his Neelam Productions that includes ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ that had Kathir and Kayal fame Anandhi in lead roles. The filmmaker is now embarking on his journey in Bollywood through a biopic based on the life of Birsa Munda. He happened to be a tribal leader who woke up for the revolt against the British rule. It is now officially confirmed that the shooting of this film will go on floors from August 15, 2019. The film is produced by Namah Pictures that bankrolled the critically acclaimed ‘Beyond the Clouds’ and is based on the novel written by Mahasweta Devi.
