Story/Plot :

Saravanan (Vishal) is a catering assistant Of Gouravam (Santhanam). Saravanan at  Trichy with team Gouravam begins a Hotel venture and faces lots of trouble with the local gangsters. Aishwariya (Aishwariya Arjun) makes her debut in this flick as a 12th standard girl who falls in love with Saravanan. Both has mutually gets into trouble with local gangsters and how they clear off the issues with them turns out to be the rest of the story.

Character/Acting :

Vishal as Saravanan – He has done his part well but Director could have utilized even better. His screen presence & dialogue delivery worked well in flashback episodes & action sequences.

Aishwariya as Aishwariya Arjun – Pattathu Yaanai marks the debut flick for her and she has even manged to fit into her role. Her Performance is commendable for masala entertainer.

Santhanam As Gouravam – Asusual he turns out to be the saving grace for this flicks too. His unique dialogues delivery once again proved the needy and stand tall in this flicks too. First half he made the screen appearance completely and he was missing in second half leads to draggy second half.

Technical Aspects :

Music by Thaman.S – He has done what is the needy for the flick with some foot tapping tunes. BGM by Sabesh Murali works fantastic especially in second part and climax sequence.

Cinematography by S. Vaithy – He also marks this as the debut cinematographer. He has done his best in first chance.

Editing by A. L. Ramesh – One more debut cast for this flick. He could have made the first half even better when compared to his second half editing.

Direction:

Boobathy Pandian has given us some hit flicks previously tried to present masala comedy entertainer. Half baked screenplay in first half and the usual commercial story line has nothing new in this flick. Honestly it’s not Boopathy Pandian’s best movie.

Overall Effectiveness Of The Film:

Pattathu Yaanai turns out to be the regular commercial flick and team tried their best. This will be apt only for the audience who loves mass masala movies and they even never disappointed much.
