The makers have a great brand. A long queue of hat-trick successful movies like Siva Manasula Sakthi, Boss Engira Baskaran and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. While All in All Azhagu Raja was a mediocre, director Rajesh has made his comeback with this film VSOP Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga. The film happens to be Arya’s 25th film and he has tried striking the gold again with his favourite mascots Rajesh and Santhanam.

Arya and Santhanam stage a fasting protest against the girlfriends and wives who are forsaking their hubbies and boyfriends for silly reasons. The story unfolds in flashback revealing the individualistic love tales with Arya-Tamannaah and Santhanam-Bhanu. The episodes in their romantic lives and how these girls became barriers in their friendship and how they overcome it forms crux of the story.

Looking up for a precise and clear view? Yes, it’s a film that doesn’t require a full fledged analysis. A feel good romantic comedy that offers refreshing hilarious episodes at a long stretch… The momentum remains the same throughout the show and doesn’t drop anywhere. Thanks to witty dialogues composed by Rajesh and Santhanam, they stand out to be the major highlight. The scene involving Arya, Santhanam, Tamannaah, Lollu Sabha Swaminathan, Siddarth Vipin and Vidyuleka leaves the theatres in unlimited laughter.

Stepping onto the performance zone, everyone looks effortlessly good and Santhanam is the ultimate showstopper. Rajesh has carefully shaped up the characterisation of Santhanam suiting his present trend of being solo hero. His dance in ‘Lucka Maatikucchu’ is sure to keep the audiences so much enjoyable. Arya has exactly done what the script requires.  Tamannaah looks beautiful and after a long time has attempted something with humorous role. Bhanu is good. Vidhyuleka’s dialogue delivers and mannerisms are appreciable.

Technically, Imman songs are just average, but there might be good response for songs ‘Lucka Maatikichu’ and ‘Subscriber’.

On the flip side, the first three films down the line from Rajesh – SMS, BEB and OKOK proved to enjoyable comedy entertainers. Though, VSOP might not completely befit to this league, it keeps you engaged and enjoyable in many places.
