Abinesh Elangovan – Producer of such hits – Thegidi, Sarabham, Indru Netru Naalai etc., is one of the young talents in Kollywood. His production houses ABI & ABI Pictures and ABI TCS Studios are some of the most reputed banners in Kollywood. His partnership with Ace producer CV Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainment is legendary. Together, they have produced and distributed several cult hits including Soodhu Kavvum, Pizza etc.

Abinesh‘s business interests not only lie in Entertainment, but also in various other industries such as Automobiles, Transports, Manufacturing, Import & Exports, Hospitals, Finance, Banking, Construction, Real Estate, Hotels, Digital Cinema and Educational Institutions.

Abinesh who holds a Bachelors of Engg degree went on to do MBA and BL. Then he joined his family business – ABI & ABI Group of Companies. Having reached CEO and Vice Chairman of his company, he decided to diversify his company into Entertainment sector. Thus ABI & ABI Pictures was born.

They started with the distribution of Vimal‘s starrer – Ethan in 2011. Then they distributed several successful movies such as Manam Kotthi Paravai, Naduvula Konjam Pakatha Kaanom. Then in 2013, he joined hands with Ace producer CV Kumar ‘s Thirukumaran Entertainment and produced path breaking hits such as Soodhu Kavvum, Pizza 2 The villa, Kalyana Samayal Saadham, Thegidi, Sarabham, Enakkul Oruvan and Indru Netru Naalai. Currently, they are co-producing 144, Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum, Iraivi. Among these movies “144” starring Shiva, Ashok Selvan, Oviya, Shruthi and others, Music by Sean Roldan and Directed by debutant Manikandan.

“Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum” starring Vijay Sethupathi, Madonna Sebastin and others, Music by Santhosh Narayanan and Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy of Soodhu Kavvum fame, “Iraivi” starring Vijay Sethupathy, SJ Surya, Bobby Simha, Karunakaran, Anjali, Kamalini Mukherjee and others, Music by Santhosh Narayanan and Directed by Karthik Subburaj of Pizza and Jigarthanda fame which are yet to be released, in which Abi & Abi is associated with Thirukumaran Entertainment and Studio Green.

One more project in the pipeline is Abi & Abi is joining hands with Y Not Studios for the official Hindi remake of our movie “Kalayana Samayal Saadham” to de directed by director RS Prasanna in association with Tanu Weds Manu fame Director Anand.L.Roy. This will mark Abi & Abi entry in to the Bollywood.

Abi & Abi is joining hands with Thirukumaran Entertainment again for the official Kannada remake of their movie “Thegidi” which will mark entry into Sandalwood. Meanwhile Abinesh Elangovan also joined his hands with his friends to start a Distribution company called Dream Factory, which has Mr. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, Mr. C. V. Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainment, Mr. Sashi Kanth of Y Not Studios, and Mr. Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment as its partners, headed by Sakthivelan which is the one of leading Distribution Company in the industry nowadays.
