Story/Plot :

Thalaivaa, A class commercial movie which script narrates as a normal man turning out to be a leader of Mumbai. Vijay chosen a classic script this time with his two different characters in this flick. Vijay will be seen as Vishwa, a dancer and Vishwa Bhai as a leader. He has worked very well in both these characters. Amala Paul as Meera looks charm and the chemistry between Vijay and Amala Paul has worked out very well. Santhanam as usual turned out to be a rock star as Logu character. Sathyaraj is biggest plus of this movie, he plays an equal role to Vijay as “Anna”.

Character/Acting :

Vijay as Vishwa/Vishwabhai – Thalaivaa turns out to be the Vijay’s best performance role in his kitty till this date. His dance movements, Dialogue delivery, screen presence, Humor has been well utilized by director.

Amala Paul as Meera – She looks so cute in her role. She has done an important part in 1st half . But Director could have utilized her well.

Sathyaraj as Anna – He has proved once again as a legend performer. He turns out to be the major contribution towards the success holding alongside with Vijay.

Santhanam as Logu – He is another rock star of the flick with his usual one liners to keep the pace of the movie in a right track.

Technical Aspects :

Music by G.V Prakash Kumar – Along with his songs he has also done a cameo in this flick. But his BGM in second half turns out to be biggest pain for ears.

Cinematography by Nirav Shah – With his two different color tones turned this flick to be his best after Billa movie.

Editing by Anthony – Anthony trade mark editing is missing out big time in this flick.

Direction:

A.L Vijay once again comes out with his another class movie in his carrier. Story is OK but with average screenplay and well utilization of Vijay, Sathyraj saved this movie big time.

Overall Effectiveness Of The Film: 

Thalaivaa turns out yet again a well made treat for Vijay Fans. It’s not a poison for normal audience can be once watchable.
