Suriya’s Next Biggie with Sun Pictures – Multi-starrer or Solo Venture?

Actor Suriya, whose recent releases Kanguva and Retro didn’t perform as expected at the box office, is currently busy shooting for a Telugu film directed by Venky Atluri. Now, sources close to the industry reveal that the actor is all set to collaborate with Sun Pictures for a new project, which is expected to be produced on a grand scale.

The film is said to be directed by Captain Miller fame Arun Matheswaran. Interestingly, Arun Matheswaran was also recently reported to have been signed by Sun Pictures for another upcoming project, with director Lokesh Kanagaraj playing the lead role.

Adding to the buzz, it has been speculated that Lokesh Kanagaraj has temporarily paused the post-production work of Coolie and traveled to Thailand for martial arts training—possibly in preparation for this new venture.

However, it remains unclear whether Suriya and Lokesh are coming together for the same film or if these are two separate projects under the same banner. Fans will recall that Suriya and Sun Pictures previously collaborated on Edharkkum Thunindhavan, which had a decent run at the box office.

With multiple big names and massive expectations swirling around, all eyes are now on Sun Pictures to reveal whether this is a solo comeback for Suriya or a high-octane multi-starrer in the making.
