Buzz: AK 64 – The Tug of War Between Dhanush & Adhik Continues?

Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film AK 64 is stirring industry buzz again — this time over a tug-of-war between two creative forces: Adhik Ravichandran and Dhanush.

Earlier reports suggested that Good Bad Ugly director Adhik Ravichandran and Vels Film International (Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh) were locked in to lead the big-budget venture. However, new developments hint that Dawn Pictures’ producer Akash Bhaskaran is keen to bring the AK biggie under his banner instead.

Adding spice to the speculation, actor-director Dhanush is said to have developed a script for Ajith long ago. Due to scheduling conflicts, the duo couldn’t connect — but now, with Idly Kadai in post-production, sources say Dhanush may fly to Dubai soon to narrate the final draft to Ajith in person. If the narration goes well, the project could officially get the green light.

That said, insiders close to Vels Film International remain confident that the Ajith project will go ahead under their production after finalizing budgets and logistical details. Besides, Vels Film International is releasing a special glimpse of its lineups, and one among them is AK 64.
