Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s most ambitious OTT project Rakt Bramhand, a fantasy epic for Netflix co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Ali Fazal, is reportedly in crisis. The ₹200 crore series, created by Raj & DK, has been indefinitely stalled after a major financial fraud was uncovered during production.
Sources reveal that much of the previously shot content has been scrapped, and a complete reshoot is needed — something Netflix is unwilling to fund further. Despite claims from Raj & DK that the show is “just delayed,” key actors have already moved on to other projects, casting serious doubt on the show’s future.
With massive losses, rewrites, and repeated delays, Rakt Bramhand may soon join the list of shelved big-ticket series. For Samantha fans, this comes as a shocking setback, as the actress was expected to headline one of Netflix India’s most anticipated original titles.
