Love Reset Repeat Review – Visual Treat with Passable Narrative

Kadhal Reset Repeat, directed by Vijay,  delivers a quirky amnesia romance that sparkles in spots with tunes and sights but fizzles emotionally, suiting casual family crowds over deep drama seekers. The film has musical score by Harris Jayaraj.

Storyline 

Aditi dreams big in her Fly High band, falling for bandmate Harichandran, unaware of Siddharth’s shadowy one-sided pursuit—tracking her from home to horizons. Family wedding buzz pushes the lovers toward a Scotland music showdown; Siddharth sneaks along, unleashing trio chaos amid her daily memory wipe from Anterograde Amnesia. The hook grabs fast but wears thin through endless repeats, leaving nagging gaps like her blind eye to years of stalking.

Performance 

Debut leads Madumkesh and Jiya Shankar step up boldly—him as the quiet lurker, fitting yet restrained, holding back fire the role begs for. Jiya charms through pranks and bewilderment with natural ease. Arjun Ashokan marks a strong Tamil debut post-Malayalam successes, nailing his beats; M.S. Baskar’s snappy lines spark laughs here and there, backed by Jayaprakash and Viji Chandrasekhar’s steady turns.

Analysis

Siddharth’s static beard across Coonoor, Chennai, and Scotland screams oversight, while his hide-and-peek routine fuels forced mystery over real tension. Rival guys daily “reset” her heart—clever on paper, exhausting in practice despite upfront amnesia clarity. Late scenes meander without gut punches; stray gags from Baskar and Ashokan buoy it, but zero “wow” highs sink the emotional core.

Aravind Krishna frames Scottish backdrops as pure eye candy, hoisting the film’s gloss to big-league heights. Harris Jayaraj’s tracks tease brilliance yet play too tame, craving his classic zing in the love beats. Anthony’s edits hustle for zip, but lavish sets can’t bridge the heart gap.
