Suriya’s Retro OTT Release Official Announcement is Out

Suriya’s much-anticipated film Retro is all set for its digital premiere after a successful theatrical run. The film, which hit cinemas on May 1, 2025, made a solid impression at the box office with its stylish storytelling and nostalgic backdrop, even as reviews remained mixed.

The star-studded cast includes Suriya, Pooja Hegde, Joju George, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Nassar, Sujith Sankar, Swasika, Karunakaran, Singampuli, Avinash Raghudevan, Gajaraj, Tamizh, Ramachandran Durairaj, Remya Suresh, Sandeep Raj, Kaarthekeyen S, and a special cameo by Shriya Saran. The film is set to stream exclusively on Netflix from May 31, 2025, making it easily accessible to a wider audience.

Retro is directed and written by Karthik Subbaraj, known for his signature blend of style and substance. The music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, while Shreyaas Krishna has handled cinematography and Shafique Mohamed Alihas taken care of the editing. The film is produced by Suriya, Jyothika, Rajsekar Pandian, and Kaarthekeyen Santhanam under the banners of 2D Entertainment and Stone Bench Films.
