Vijay Sethupathi’s emotional speech on ACE Director!

Vijay Sethupathi-starrer ACE gears up for a worldwide release on May 23. Shot entirely in Malaysia, the film is directed by Arumugakumar and features a unique blend of action, humour, and emotion.

The lead cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Yogi Babu, with Amrutha Srinivasan and Avinash Andrews in key supporting roles. Music is composed by Justin Prabhakaran, and the film is edited by Fenny Oliver.

With the film hitting screens worldwide on May 23, the entire cast and crew met the press and media, sharing their working experiences.

Speaking on the occasion, actor Vijay Sethupathi said, “When I was looking for opportunities in acting in my initial days, I had gone to audition for a role in Varnam. The one who told the team of Varnam to pick me after my audition—without knowing me—was Arumugakumar. He spoke strongly for me without even knowing me. The same way, when I was auditioning for Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom, it was Arumugakumar who strongly backed me for the role. I haven’t done any favours for Arumugakumar like how he said I had. I like Justin Prabhakaran a lot. His work in this film is outstanding. Avinash Andrews sir is like a teddy bear. He has a tough body but a soft mind. He’s like a child. Rukmini Vasanth is a sensible and sincere actor. She would understand deeply what was needed and deliver it very sincerely. Yogi Babu is the other hero of this film. He would always surprise me. He would always keep improving. I’ve never seen him whiling away time. Very sensible, good actor. He’s one of the pillars of this film.”
