Is Sibiraj’s Vattam loosely based on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s movie?

Producers SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu, the close relatives of actor Suriya-Karthi have been producing the movies under a couple of production houses namely – Potential Studios and Dream Warrior Pictures. Their recent release ”˜O2’ starring Nayanthara, streamed on Disney+ Hotstar bombed terribly. Apparently, they are looking out for a good breakthrough now. They are yet again collaborating with Disney+ Hotstar with Sibiraj’s ”˜Vattam’, which will be directly premiering on this OTT platform.

Meanwhile, the close sources reveal that Vattam could be faintly replicating Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Maanagaram. The hyperlink based story was about a bunch of characters getting involved in one or the other way during a short period. Significantly, Vattam too is reported of having a similar backdrop and what’s more common between these two movies is a Kidnap element.

It is noteworthy that the same producers had produced Maanagaram too. Let us wait and watch out for how identical are these two movies.
