Actor Suriya to collaborate with ‘Thudarum’ Tharun Moorthy? 

Following the immense success of Thudarum, director Tharun Moorthy has caught the attention of producer K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green. After watching the film in Cochin, Raja met with Moorthy to congratulate him on the blockbuster hit and expressed interest in collaborating on a new project featuring actor Suriya.

This potential collaboration marks a significant development, especially considering the duo’s previous venture, Kanguva, was a box office disappointment. However, Thudarum has become one of Mohanlal’s biggest career grossers, praised for its intense storytelling and mass appeal.

Suriya’s recent film, Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, was released on May 1, 2025. The film has garnered positive reviews and is performing well at the box office. Suriya is also currently shooting for RJ Balaji’s upcoming film, tentatively titled Karuppanasamy. Additionally, Suriya will soon begin working on a Telugu project under the direction of Venky Atluri, with plans to move ahead with this film first. After this, the actor and Tharun Moorthy may collaborate, depending on the finalization of the script.
