Sensational Update: Superstar Rajinikanth-Mani Ratnam-Lyca Productions Project 

Three decades after their iconic collaboration in Thalapathy, superstar Rajinikanth and renowned director Mani Ratnam are reuniting for a new project under Lyca Productions. The film is also expected to be co-produced by Pen Studios, bringing together major players from both Kollywood and Bollywood.

According to industry sources, the official announcement is likely to be made soon, possibly after the release of Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film Thug Life, which is currently in its promotional phase.

A key highlight of this project is Rajinikanth’s reported decision to reduce his remuneration, acknowledging the current financial situation of Lyca Productions, which has faced losses from four consecutive projects. His gesture is being seen as a mark of solidarity with producer Subaskaran and a show of support for this much-anticipated reunion with Mani Ratnam.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has completed filming for Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and is actively shooting for Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer 2.
