Housefull 5 Review – A Riotous Rollercoaster with a Twisted Punch

If chaos had a plan, Housefull 5 would be it. This would be the absolute words you might resonate after watching this film. This latest entry in the blockbuster franchise explodes onto the screen with a cocktail of unfiltered humour, murder-mystery madness, and vintage masala entertainment. It doesn’t aim to be logical — and frankly, it doesn’t need to. What it offers is pure, unapologetic fun.

Akshay Kumar leads the pack with vintage comic flair — his entry scene, a zany guitar sequence, and a laugh-out-loud interval block showcase him at his energetic best. Riteish Deshmukh delivers yet another effortlessly hilarious act, while Abhishek Bachchan adds good charm and timing to the madness. Fardeen Khan makes a confident comeback, fitting seamlessly into the chaos with his sharp delivery. Post-interval, the arrival of Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Nana Patekar supercharges the film — their presence adds gravitas and old-school comic swag that lifts the momentum further. The leading ladies — Soundarya Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Chitrangada Singh — handle their portions with grace and contribute to the film’s energy. However, while Johnny Lever, Chunky Pandey, and Shreyas Talpade appear briefly, their vast comic potential feels underplayed and leaves you wanting more.

Tarun Mansukhani does a commendable job steering this wild ship. Handling a large ensemble cast while weaving in a murder mystery twist is no small feat, and he manages to keep the chaos entertaining throughout. Sajid Nadiadwala’s story and screenplay ensure that comic scenes land at regular beats, maintaining a rhythm that rarely lets up. The dialogue dips into adult humour and double entendres — not all may land for every audience type, but many moments genuinely click. The film’s interval block is a riot, and the climax offers an unexpected killer reveal that works well within the wacky tone. Production values are grand, visuals are vibrant, and the background score adds to the overall loud, unapologetic mood of the film.

Housefull 5 is the cinematic equivalent of a mad circus — wild, messy, and full of laughs. Don’t walk in expecting logic. Just grab your popcorn, take your squad, and prepare for two and a half hours of full-blown masthi.
