Drishyam 3 to Create History: 3 Stars, 3 Languages, 1 Big Day!
Director Jeethu Joseph and Aashirvad Cinemas are gearing up for the much-anticipated Drishyam 3, with plans to begin shooting in October. The third installment, starring Mohanlal, is expected to be released simultaneously in Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu, as discussions for a pan-India launch are currently underway.
Jeethu Joseph revealed that the script is nearing completion and clarified circulating rumors about the Hindi version. He stated that contrary to speculation, all versions will follow a unified storyline. Once the Malayalam script is finalized, it will be adapted to suit the cultural context of the other versions. He emphasized that although each version might feature subtle differences, the core plot will remain consistent across all three.
While it’s not confirmed whether the shoot will happen in parallel, the team is exploring possibilities for coordinated production timelines. Joseph also noted that simultaneous release is being seriously considered, especially given the rise of OTT platforms where spoilers can spread instantly. The goal is to preserve the theatrical thrill for all audiences, whether in Kerala, North India, or the Telugu states.
With Mohanlal, Ajay Devgn, and Venkatesh likely reprising their iconic roles, Drishyam 3 could set a new benchmark for multilingual storytelling in Indian cinema.
