Blockbuster Telugu Hit ‘Court’ to Get a Tamil Remake – Full Details!
Veteran actor-director Thyagarajan, father of actor Prashanth, has officially acquired the Tamil remake rights of the critically acclaimed Telugu blockbuster Court. Made on a modest budget, the original film turned out to be a phenomenal box office success, reportedly grossing close to ₹100 crore.
The story follows the journey of an underdog junior lawyer who takes up a highly sensitive and challenging POSCO case involving a young boy accused of sexually abusing a minor girl. The intense courtroom drama, with its powerful emotional core, struck a chord with Telugu audiences.
In the Tamil version, it is speculated that one of actress Devayani’s daughters may be making her debut through this film, although an official confirmation is awaited. The lead role of the junior lawyer is yet to be finalized.
Court is originally produced by actor Nani, featuring Priyadarshi Pulikonda as the lawyer, alongside Harsh Roshan, Sridevi, Sivaji, Sai Kumar, Rohini, Harshavardhan, and Subhalekha Sudhakar in the star-cast.
