Lijo Jose Pellissery Teams Up with Lokesh Kanagaraj for Soori’s Next

In a collaboration that’s sure to excite cinephiles across the country, acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery is joining hands with Lokesh Kanagaraj’s production banner G Squad for a new Tamil feature film, with Soori in the lead role.

Lijo, known for pushing cinematic boundaries with films like Angamaly Diaries, Ee.Ma.Yau, Jallikattu, and Churuli, brings his unmistakable voice to Tamil cinema for the first time. His mastery in blending chaos, realism, and experimental storytelling has earned him a cult following and critical acclaim far beyond Malayalam film circles.

Leading the project is Soori, fresh off the blockbuster success of Maaman. The actor has seen a remarkable transition into character-driven lead roles in recent years, and this collaboration is expected to showcase an all-new dimension of his craft under Lijo’s bold vision.

The project is being bankrolled by G Squad, the production house launched by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who continues to champion new-age cinema as both a director and producer.
