Suriya 46: Story of India’s Most Controversial Auto Dream?
The shoot for Suriya 46, the much-anticipated Tamil-Telugu bilingual, has officially commenced. Directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Sithara Entertainments, in association with Fortune Four Cinemas and Trivikram’s Haarika & Hassine Creations, the film is already drawing attention for its intriguing premise.
While the makers haven’t confirmed plot details, strong industry buzz suggests that the film takes inspiration from the early vision behind India’s first mass-produced car — widely believed to be the Maruti 800. Rooted in ambition and national relevance, the film is expected to explore the rise of a visionary figure who dreamed of putting India on four wheels.
The film stars Suriya in the lead, alongside Mamitha Baiju, Raveena Tandon, and Radhika Sarathkumar in key roles. The technical team boasts GV Prakash Kumar as composer, Nimish Ravi on cinematography, and Naveen Nooli handling the cuts.
