With Love Movie Review – Endearing and Pleasant

Published:

Filmmaker Abishan Jeevinth, who earlier directed Tourist Family, makes his debut as a hero with With Love, which is all set for a worldwide theatrical release this Friday (February 6, 2026). The film is written by Madhan and produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth and Magesh Raj Pasilian. Anaswara Rajan plays the female lead. Harish Kumar, Kavya Anil, Sacchin Nachiappan, Theni Murugan, and Saravanan appear in prominent roles.

The story revolves around a young man (Abishan Jeevinth) and a young woman (Anaswara Rajan) who get engaged. As they begin to know each other, it is revealed that they studied in the same school—she was in the 10th standard while he was in the 12th. As their bond grows, both feel the urge to revisit a past love and confess it to their respective partners before getting married. The film traces the journey they embark on to address these buried emotions and begin a new chapter in life.

Performance-wise, Anaswara Rajan makes an instant impact with her charming portrayal. Though her dialogues, delivered with a noticeable Malayalam linguistic touch, feel slightly odd at times, her acting soon overshadows this. Abishan Jeevinth fits the role perfectly and delivers a commendable performance. Kavya Anil has limited screen presence but does justice to her role, while Harish Kumar is convincing. Saravanan, despite minimal screen time, makes his presence felt.

On the technical front, the visuals are pleasing and lend a breezy feel to the narrative. Sean Roldan’s music is passable, with a good background score, and the editing is crisp in several portions.

Standout moments include the ice-cream shop sequence, the pre-interval stretch, the nostalgic use of the song “Aval Varuvaala”, the climax, and the satisfying ending.

While the first half has a few light-hearted moments and feels slightly sluggish, the film picks up significantly in the post-interval portions.

Overall, With Love is a neat, feel-good romantic drama that makes for a pleasant watch.
