It has almost turned to be a ritual practice for Vijay movies to go through some hurdles before the release. This time for Mersal, things are even bigger as MM Mathialagan; Regional officer of CBFC has cited that censor is not yet issued for the movie. In his official letter, he has mentioned that the team hadn’t received No Objection Certificate from AWBI while screening the film for censor board. The representatives of the film had promised to present the NOC on time, which hasn’t happened till now. In this regard, the official website of AWBI has even mentioned about it. It is reported that although makers have claimed most of the animal sequences are done using CG, the visual representation doesn’t seem that way for AWBI. Henceforth, the NOC has been kept on hold and it will eventually get finalized by Monday.
