February 7 – A clash of medium budget, but content oriented flicks
The very beginning of this year is gone rather quickly! Out of the films released so far, only Durbar and Pattas can be termed as big movies and the rest have been landing up on medium-budget to low-budget league.
The distributors have been agog with the news that Rajini film Darbar has been a failure, thereby creating a sensation. As far as the Tamil movie industry is concerned, the month of January has turned out to be a mediocre scenario.
In this scenario, with the 1st Friday of the month February around the corner on 7th February, movies such as ‘Adavi’, ‘Seeru’, and ‘Vaanam Kottattum’, all of medium to low-budget, are slated for release.
Though they may not seem to pose any competition to each other, the important question remains! – Whether they can create a good beginning for the month??
