Malayalam movies dominate Tamil industry and the history continues

Over the past few months, Tamil cinema has been going through a mediocre phase of not having any big profitable movies. The film industry hasn’t been able to deliver good movies over the past phase. Last week, a couple of Tamil releases titled ‘Dear’ starring GV Prakash Kumar and ‘Romeo’ starring Vijay Antony were released. With both these movies not able to gross even 1Cr BO collection, the last week releases in Malayalam titled Fahadh Faasil’s ‘Aavesham’ and VIneeth Srinivasan’s ‘Varshangalukku Shesham’ has grossed Rs. 50Cr Worldwide Box Office Collection.

The trade circles report that the ongoing IPL and election phase along with school examinations has kept the big releases, and it will be back with a tremendous lineup from next week. It all starts with Vishal’s Rathnam followed by many more biggies like Kanguva, Thangalaan and lots in the league.
