Were Suriya fans disappointed with Kaappaan title?

Sometimes, being too much connected with public can bring up both pros and cons. Here comes a groovy illustration with Suriya starrer Kaappaan, which is directed by KV Anand. Recently, the official announcement was made about the film’s title as Kaappaan. Filmmaker KV Anand says that they had given the choice to select the film’s title through Suriya fans. A twitter poll featuring three titles – Kaappaan, Uyirkaa and Meetpaan were given among which Uyirkaa had got 50% votes (Total counts of poll was 51,000). However, the title wasn’t chosen as the team felt that Kaappaan was appropriate to the film’s theme. If so, why the makers had to come up with such an unwanted polling that obviously gets mixed feedbacks? Nonetheless, the Suriya fans are matured enough to understand that the title makes more sense than what they had chosen.

Kaappaan is bankrolled by Lyca Productions with Harris Jayaraj composing music. Mohanlal, Sayyeshaa Saigal, Arya, Boman Hirani and Samuthirakani will be seen playing important roles in this film.
