Mahesh (Angadi Theru Mahesh) is an Indian actor who primarily works in Tamil cinema. Born on 3 May 1990 in Chinnalapatti, a village in Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu, he comes from a modest family. His father worked as a nut vendor near a local cinema, and his mother is a homemaker. A volleyball player during his school days, Mahesh was spotted by director Vasanthabalan’s team while training. He made his acting debut as the lead in the critically acclaimed romantic drama Angadi Theru (2010), portraying Jyothi Lingam, a rural youth who migrates to Chennai and works in a bustling textile market. His natural performance earned praise and a Best Debut Actor nomination. Following his breakthrough, Mahesh appeared in films such as Konjam Sirippu Konjam Kobam (2011), Velmurugan Borewells (2014), and several other Tamil projects, often in realistic or supporting roles. He is best remembered for his authentic debut that captured the struggles of ordinary workers.
