Avane Srimannarayana Movie Review

For the ones, who haven’t been a regular follower of Rakshit Shetty movies, he has been an entertainer of crowds with substantial stories. From the days of Simple Aag Ondh Love Story to his own production of movies like Ulidhavaru Kandante, which was later remade in Tamil as ‘Richie’ followed by Kirrik Party and his production of ‘Katheyondu Shuruvaagidhey’, they have always be epitome of cool entertainment. His adeptness in good writing makes his movies more engaging and they have remained to be the strongest pillar as well. The same applies here with his recent outing ‘Avane Srimannarayana’, which is directed by Sachin.

The film is set against the backdrops of never-never land named Amaravathi, where a fun-filled cop Narayana (Rakshit Shetty). He is here to discover a lost treasure and during the process does have some cold vibes struck with local corrupted politician and a gang of robbers as well.

Well, the highlighting part about the film is that the story might look as simple as one of the erstwhile movies directed by Chimbu Devan featuring Raghava Lawrence in lead. But it gets into a completely different zone, where you’ll be surprised with the twists by end. The writing is so excellent that it makes the film watchable by audiences despite the fact that you are not familiar with the faces there. Rakshit Shetty movies always have a slightest backdrop of stretched out running length. It’s almost close to 3 hour play here, but it’s bearable for the characterizations and narration. The female lead character (Shanvi Srivastav) to gets a meaty role and in fact, the plot going through some twists through her role is really appreciable.

Technically, the film has commendable elements, especially with cinematography, music and art department.

If you’re looking out for anything on the flip side, there isn’t much to be bothered except for the slightly dragged duration, but then the film on whole keeps you entertained.
