Pattas Music Review
Pattas has been generating the best buzzes across the months and with the film scheduled for Pongal release, the complete album composed by Vivek-Mervin is launched today. The film stars Dhanush in dual roles with Sneha and Mehreen Pirzada as female lead characters. Studio Flicks brings you the musical analysis of this album.
Singer: Anuradha Sriram
Lyrics: Uma Devi
As the album opens, we get to see a honeyed melodious number that actually clinches well with its slow and soothing instrumentals. Uma Devi is quite illustrious for coming up with unparalleled lines, especially when it is about expressing the womanly thing and here with the motherliness essence, she get to steal the show. Not to miss the wowing rendition of Anuradha Sriram.
It’s a song that you’ll instantly fall in love with and there’s no doubt about it. There is nothing special to sit back and analyse with this number. It’s a party song that has the touch of Vivek-Mervin although not up to the mark of ‘Guleba’. But it’s a cool number well tailored for Dhanush fans.
A sang-froid romantic number that gets a Midas touch with Anirudh crooning it and it will definitely get infectious with repeated hearing. Vivek has penned the lyrics that are simplistic and easily grasping to the minds of listeners.
Singers: Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon
It’s a song that speaks about the unique traits of Tamil culture and Thamizhan. Very obviously, it will surely gain more momentum with Dhanush’s screen presence for this number. The percussion and rhythmic pattern sound passably okay.
Singers: Vijay Yesudas, Niranjana
Lyrics: Ku. Karthik
Nothing special to mention about this song, although the singers – Vijay Yesudas and Niranjana try to give their best… The interludes, however gain our attention for the impeccable strokes of Vivek and Mervin.
A Mother’s Love
Apparently, it’s a signature tune and Vivek-Mervin has embellished it with an intriguingly amazing music. Be it flute or strings, they are very well etched with mellifluous touch.
Overall, ‘Pattas’ is an album that easily indicates the movie is an out and out commercial entertainer and having used this term, it is sure that the songs will achieve an escalated stature with the visuals. For now, Chill Bro and Jigidi Killadi happen to be the instant attractions.
