Salaar Ceasefire Movie Review

Filmmaker Prashant Neel, with a couple of blockbusters in the bag pack (KGF Chapter 1 & Chapter 2), created a huge buzz with his ‘Salaar Ceasefire’. With Big names like Prabhas and Prithviraj involved in this project, the expectations are getting bigger. This film, which is reported to be produced at a grander scale has lots of pros and cons.

The story, as everybody knows, is set in a fictional place, where Prabhas, who has disowned it returns after many years for the sake of protecting his friend (Prithviraj).

So what are the biggest spotlights in this film? The screen presence of Prabhas and Prithviraj stands out to be the intriguing highlight. Even during the dull moments, their screen presence remains extraordinary which saves the film from sinking. When it comes to screenwriting, there are lots of ups and downs. If the writing crew manages to present a power-packed mass scene, it is soon followed by at least a couple of dull scenes. These fluctuations leave the crowds perplexed. Precisely, the entire first half keeps the audience clueless, which makes them stay away from the film’s premise, but with a stunning interval sequence, they’re pulled in. The coal mine and climax action sequence are very well choreographed by Anbariv. The BGM in many places reminiscences of the KGF world, and the songs are too limited but good.

Prabhas’ screen presence is a treat to watch out for the fans. On the counterpart, Prithviraj too exhibits his acting prowess with emotions and action performances. The other actors don’t strike our attention.

Prashant Neel created a tremendous impact with KGF 1, 2, and even with the announcement of KGF 3. However, the open ending leading to ‘Salaar’ 2nd part doesn’t excite us anywhere.

Overall, Salaar Ceasefire has energetic moments in places, but with the ups and downs in the screenwriting, the film is limited to the ‘Average’ point.
