|Running Time||142 mins|
|Release Date||12th July 2018|
The expectations involving Tamizh Padam 2 have been incredibly on its best. Ever since, the announcements were made, the scenarios turned pretty invigorating for the fans of Tamizh Padam. Banking on its first part’s success, the makers had even managed to pull huge crowds for the early morning show, which is first of its kind experience. To have an early morning for an average league actor is a Kollywood miracle. So do such expectations and celebrations prior to release offer the best to audiences.
When the first part was released, it had many reasons signifying the success. It was a time, when Tamil cinema was striding through the same route. In fact, the decades of prototyped film rituals were ridiculed to the peak. A newborn baby turning into a teen boy of years within a song and so on were pulled into the picture. Apparently, when the second part was arriving, we were already prepared to know what CS Amudhan would be presenting here. The story is about the same protagonist from the first part settling down here for a mission to hunt down a hilariously gruesome baddie named P.
Although, it’s a humorous film, there must be a substantial role for everyone. But certain roles look so feeble. Say for instance, the same old aged characters shown as college pals doesn’t evoke humor here. In the first part, it was more hilarious. But the same factors become a major minus out here. The biggest of all irritations is Sathish. It’s high time, the actor must really look up for a better change. We don’t mean to say that he is an underdog, but he can offer something better than what he is now. He has the ability to evoke humor at an ease, say for instance, the Vivegam impact in climax. The theaters erupt with laughter for what he does, but then he could have tried pulling up his socks in other sequences too. Mirchi Shiva is the showstopper here. But then, there seems to be certain things missing in him. Maybe, the long gaps he takes between each of his movies would have made us feel that way. But he is the ultimate scores in many places.
CS Amudhan has attempted with new things in many episodes and the greatest attraction is his dialogues. But the item song and feeble writing of few sequences stretched out tests our patience.
Overall Tamizh Padam 2 Movie Review
Overall, Tamizh Padam 2 is good in few places, but it settles down for average zone in many episodes. Although, it’s not completely a disappointing show, this film can savor audiences, who look out for a time pass flick.
