Selvaraghavan’s Kaan is based on red sandalwood smuggling?

There are reports that Selvaraghavan’s next film Kaan is set in the backdrop of red sandalwood smuggling. However, a source close to the unit has denied the reports as baseless rumors.

“The film is based on terrorism and will have high-octane stunt sequences with important portions being planned to be shot inside the forest,” says a source close to the team.

Kaan has Simbu, Catherine Tresa and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. Simbu essays the role of a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) officer who sets outs on a plan to stop the plans of Jagapathy Babu, who plays a terrorist.
