Yash’s Toxic Secures Record ₹120 Crore AP-TG Distribution Deal with Dil Raju’s SVC

Published:

In a landmark transaction that underscores the escalating pan-Indian appeal of Kannada superstar Yash, Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), led by acclaimed producer Dil Raju, has acquired the theatrical distribution rights for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana of the upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups for a staggering ₹120 crore on an advance commission basis.

This deal marks the highest-ever acquisition price for a non-Telugu origin film in the combined AP-TG territory, setting a new benchmark in Indian cinema distribution. The agreement was finalized following intense competition among three major distribution players, with SVC ultimately prevailing due to its strong confidence in the project’s scale, star power, and commercial prospects.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas and co-written by Mohandas and Yash, Toxic is positioned as a high-octane gangster drama with global ambitions. The film was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and other languages. It is jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.

Yash, widely known as Rocking Star Yash following the massive success of the KGF franchise, returns to the screen after a four-year gap since KGF: Chapter 2. His market presence has only strengthened in the interim, particularly in Telugu-speaking states, where he enjoys a devoted fanbase that has eagerly anticipated his next venture.

Commenting on the acquisition, Dil Raju expressed his enthusiasm: “Yash stands as a formidable titan of Indian cinema, and post KGF 2, his market has only grown stronger across the world. The audience’s anticipation for his next after KGF 2 has been building for a while now. With a four-year wait, the buzz and expectations around this film are massive. We at SVC are stoked to present this prestigious project and hope to continue collaborating with Yash on many more films.”

The partnership with SVC, one of the most respected banners in Indian cinema known for its legacy of National Award-winning films and consistent blockbusters, further elevates Toxic‘s stature. The collaboration is expected to ensure extensive theatrical penetration, aggressive promotional campaigns, and a grand big-screen presentation in the cinema-loving AP-TG region.

Toxic boasts an impressive technical crew, including National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni, and production designer TP Abid. The action sequences are designed on a grand scale, with choreography by Hollywood veteran JJ Perry (known for John Wick), alongside National Award-winning duo Anbariv and Thailand-based action director Kecha Khamphakdee.

The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, strategically timed to coincide with the festivals of Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa, positioning it as a major cinematic event across multiple markets.

Industry observers view this record-breaking deal as a powerful validation of Yash’s cross-regional stardom and the growing dissolution of linguistic barriers in Indian cinema. With pre-release excitement already at fever pitch—fueled by organic fan campaigns, massive teaser response, and widespread territorial interest—Toxic is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated spectacles of 2026.
