On this Day, 20 years ago, Kollywood cinema witnessed the arrival of a young and handsome actor, who struck the right chords with his debut movie ‘Jayam’. A handsome chocolate boy is born – The Press and Media Fraternity labelled him with so much praises and acclaims. His name was Ravi, which was prefixed with ‘Jayam’. As the word signifies, he has been consistently carrying the ‘Success’ on his shoulder with back-to-back hits. His second outing ‘M Kumaran S/0 Mahalakshmi’ became a massive hit following which he garnered fabulous response from both the youth and family audiences.

His pursuit of unique roles and scripts urged him to experiment in different zones, and he then landed up with a new avatar through the movie ‘Thani Oruvan’. The macho actor, who enthralled the crowds with splendid Rom-Coms, emerged as an Action Hero through this movie.

Working with the biggest names like SP Jhananathan in ‘Peranmai’ and lots of amazing filmmakers, he carved a niche of excellence. And Today being acclaimed as ‘Raja Raja Cholan’ following his extraordinary performance in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan franchise, the actor has upgraded his value.

The actor has now got a line-up of promising movies like Ahmed’s Iraivan and Siren that are gearing up for release soon. His untitled movie directed by Rajesh and produced by Screen Scene Entertainment is all set for its shoot this weekend. His much-awaited biggies with Vels Film International and Thani Oruvan 2 followed by few more projects will get materialized soon.
