Director Youreka who earlier directed Madhurai sambavam and Sivappu enakku pidikkum is the director of ‘Thoppi’.
Shot in the exotic locales of Kurangani forest, the film is about the aspirations of a youngster who want to become a cop against adverse conditions. Born in a culture and a village who predominantly adopt theft as live hood he over comes the obstacles that stalls his progress. Amalgamation of multiple talents like Vairamuthu as the lyric writer and M. Sukumar of ‘ Maina’ fame as the camera man, ‘ Thoppi’ assures a film with intensified quality and style.
