Liger Failure: Vijay Devarakonda’s ‘No-Salary’ agreement for Jana Gana Mana

Actor Vijay Devarakonda’s recent release ‘Liger’ was initially made in Telugu and later dubbed into various Indian languages released on August 25. The movie turned out to be a box office disaster, resulting in severe loss to everyone in the trade circle. However, the actor has now joined hands with the same director Puri Jagannadh and producer Charmi Kaur for another movie titled ‘Jana Gana Mana’.

It is said that VD had received a whopping remuneration of Rs. 20Cr for Liger, and has reportedly returned back Rs. 6Cr due to the heavy loss incurred by the producers. Furthermore, he has agreed to the next movie ‘Jana Gana Mana’ without any remuneration but will be sharing the profit, if the film turns out to be a successful venture. The entire Telugu industry is acclaiming Vijay Devarakonda for this good decision that has benefitted the producers of this movie.
