Ponniyin Selvan 2 to release on this date?

Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1 has been setting new trends and records at the box office, and it is now overtaking Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, which has been considered the top box office grosser to date in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, the grand success of this movie has instilled more confidence and invigoration among the team members of Ponniyin Selvan, and Lyca Productions has decided to shell out an additional budget for the postproduction of VFX works of this movie.

It looks like AR Rahman will also create some magical orchestral works for the second part. During this interim, it is said that the plans are in full swing to release Ponniyin Selvan 2 on May 19, 2023. The official announcement regarding the film’s release can be expected by end of this year.
