Asuran Music Review

Following the last year sensational movie ‘Vada Chennai’, Dhanush and Vetrimaaran are back with ‘Asuran’. The film gearing up for October4 release has Manju Warrier playing the female lead role and GV Prakash has composed music. Kalaipuli S Thanu is producing this film for V Creations. Of course, you can’t stop comparing this song with some of the closest links like Karuppu Nerathazhagi and Oththa Sollala. It’s simply because of the rendition by Vel Murugan for the same composer gives such an impression, but then, it has lots of fresh elements. A cool romantic number that has everyone to be appreciated for GV Prakash maintains the same tempo on the rhythmic accompaniment from beginning till end.

The song faintly reminiscences of Dhanush singing ‘Kadhal En Kadhal’ for GV Prakash’s yesteryear collaboration in ‘Mayakkam Enna’. However, it’s only till a certain extent and the song journeys into a different lane sooner. What becomes the major highlight of the song is the spellbinding lyrical lines by Yugabharathi, which has lot of philosophical essence, bringing in a conversational episode like feel between a father and son. Dhanush, GV Prakash and Kenny Karunaas have made it a completely enjoyable track with their vocalisms.
