“Velan will be a breezy feel-good entertainer with fun and emotions”, Mugen

Mugen has spearheaded the colossal independent albums that won him global recognition followed by a tremendous victory with ‘Bigg Boss Show’. And now, he is all set to make his onscreen debut in Kollywood with the movie ‘Velan’ playing the lead role, which is hitting screens on December 31, 2021.

Actor Mugen says, “Every actor dreams about making their entry into films, but it’s a case of rarity, where they get an opportunity to work with a team that is more like a family. I feel blessed for getting a chance to work with a wonderful team in my debut movie, especially filmmaker Kavin, who is so talented and enthusiastic. I thank producer Kalaimagan Mubarak sir for choosing me to play the lead role. With his vast experience and long journey in the industry, he could have easily chosen the top league actors for this character, but he felt that I would do justice to the role and signed me. For an actor like me, who is just at the beginning stage of his career, such recognitions are like bliss. I take this opportunity to thank Prabhu sir for the unconditional love and support he showed towards me throughout the shooting. Being an experienced actor, he was so humble and down-to-earth with not just me but the entire crew. No doubt! Such qualities have made him an adorable star across the World Tamilians. Skyman Films International Kalaimagan Mubarak is producing Velan that is written and directed by Kavin. The film features Meenakshi Govindarajan in the female lead role. Soori plays the titular role alongside Mugen. Prabhu is playing an important character in this movie.
