An Official remake of South Korean romantic comedy film ‘My Dear Desperado’ which was released in 2010. The film was further remade into hindi as Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story. Movie talks about the relationship between a local gangster and his neighbour, an IT professional girl.

Second outing from Vijay Sethupathy this year. He has done exceedingly well, what a brilliant performance.

Though we have seen him in the similar kind of roles, we still enjoy his performance. Expressions are priceless. Single handedly he shoulders the film with wonderful screen presence.

Madonna Sebastian, who became the heart throb of Tamil Nadu youths after ‘Premam’ release strikes back with her first tamil venture. She gets good scope to perform. Neat expressions. Her scenes with Vijay Sethupathy are enjoyable.Makeup could have been better. Raveena’s dubbing suits perfectly for Madonna.

Samuthirakani does an extended cameo role, and he impresses with those 3 scenes. There are many other characters including Madonna’s dad, Vijay sethupathy’s friend, gang leader & his brother etc. Each and everyone did justice to their respective role. Unfortunately none of them stays in mind once we walked out of theatre.

Santhosh Narayanan is the music composer. Superb Background music. But songs are just average. Total Five songs in the album. Felt like typical Santhosh songs are repeating. ‘Ka Ka Ka Po…’ and ‘Paravai Paranduchu….’ songs are nice. He has rendered his voice to all the five songs.Cinematography by Dinesh Chandran is impressive.

Directed by Soodhu Kavvum’ fame Nalan Kumarasamy. This talented director preferred to do a remake in his second film.

A simple storyline with not much engaging screenplay.

First half is very slow; second half has some good moments. Dialogues are not so catchy.Wondering what had impressed Nalan to select this remake project.

Two scenes in the second half are clapworthy. One is the viluppuram portion where Vijay Sethupathy and Madonna meet her parents and Second is the Avadi IT company interview portion. Climax is absolutely a forced one.Overall the film is watchable for Vijay Sethupathy’s terrific performance.
