Vishal Krishna

Vishal Krishna (Vishal Krishna Reddy) is an Indian actor and producer who primarily works in Tamil cinema. Born on 29 August 1977 in Chennai to film producer G. K. Reddy and Janaki Devi, he hails from a Telugu-speaking family. His elder brother Vikram Krishna is also an actor and producer. He studied at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School and graduated in Visual Communications from Loyola College, Chennai. Vishal began as an assistant director to Arjun before making his lead debut in the romantic thriller Chellamae (2004). He rose to fame as an action hero with hits like Sandakozhi (2005) and Thimiru (2006). In 2013, he founded Vishal Film Factory, producing films such as Pandiya Naadu. He has served as General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam and President of the Tamil Film Producers’ Council. He received the Kalaimamani award in 2006 for his contributions to Tamil cinema.
